Cleansing

Your skincare routine needs to start with cleansing. It might sound quite obvious, but there are a number of people who don’t cleanse their face, especially in the morning, but it is something that is needed. If you find that you’re short on time, then you could use a micellar water and a pad to cleanse.

Toning

One of the next must-haves for your skincare is toner. When you use a toner, you help to get rid of residue that is leftover on skin, once you have cleansed. Toner can also help to tighten pores and keep in moisture, as well as get rid of excess oil. A lot of toners help to hydrate and to soothe, which is a good thing to look for when you are looking for the right kind of toner for you.

Eye Cream

If you want to make the most of an eye cream, then it helps to apply eye cream as one of the first things that you do after cleansing and toning. This will help it to soak in and do its thing around the eye area, before you apply anything like makeup.

Sunscreen

When you’re getting ready for the day, it is a must that you have sunscreen as part of your routine, no matter the time of the year it is. Some face creams and foundations do have sunscreen in them, much like the Colorscience range. But if you’d prefer, then using a natural sunscreen under your makeup is going to be a great thing for your skin, as it will help to protect against any harmful rays from the sun. When it comes to anti-aging, then sunscreen is an absolute must-have.

Serum

Not everyone likes to use a serum, but if you do, then making it part of your routine will help you have some healthy skin. Serums come in different forms and can help with various concerns that you have. If you have acne, dull skin, aging skin, or oily skin, then there are serums to help with all of these concerns. If you have dry skin then it can be a good idea to have a layer of serum under your moisturiser, to give your skin an extra boost. Some good ingredients to look out for in serums is hyaluronic acid as it helps to hydrate, as well as vitamin C for acne prone skin, and retinol for helping to keep skin smooth.
