4 Confidence Boosting Tips For You That Truly Make a Change

There are ties in life where we simply don’t feel as great as we think we should. Or we get bored with the same old routine. It takes 5 minutes to get ready because we either have the routine down or we just aren’t that bothered. Perhaps you can’t remember the last time that you felt stunning and content. Or as Alan Cohen puts it, “To love yourself right now, just as you are, is to give yourself heaven. Don’t wait until you die. If you wait, you die now. If you love, you live now.“

Simple is perfect sometimes, but others there is nothing as great as feeling good within yourself. If you are in the mood for a bit of a makeover, then here are some suggestions to give yourself a bit of a confidence boost, and play around with your look, too.

1. Brows

Your eyebrows have a much bigger impact on your whole face than you might think. They can make your eyes look wider, brighter and more prominent. When they are well kept, you will look neater and more put together. Epilating, waxing, tweezing and threading will all give you the brow shape that you want. However, there are a few more options for your brows now. Microblading is a longer-lasting semi-surgical procedure. Multiple thin scalpel slices and ink will create an amazing mathematical set of brows.

Tinting your brows is a great way to give them a little more definition and will negate the need for drawing them on in the morning.

2. Lip Care

Dry lips are painful and uncomfortable, but they also don’t look great either. The skin on your lips is pretty thin and needs some TLC. Simple lip scrubs like olive oil and sugar work wonders to remove dry and dead skin and give some moisture, too.

You can use a soft toothbrush to help buff away skin with a slick of vaseline too. During the winter months your lips will need even more care than usual. Make sure that you are regularly applying lip balms and salves to keep them soft and supple. An overnight lip mask might be the perfect solution if you oten have issues with your lips.

3. Skin

Your skin needs to be taken care of every day. Unfortunately, we aren’t all blessed with flawless skin. Some of us get deep lines and wrinkles prematurely, others have hyperpigmentation, dry and acne-prone skin can make you feel a little low. There are some amazing acids that you can use to help tighten the appearance of pores, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and even make your dark circles appear brighter. There are some more permanent procedures like botox, a facelift, eye lift or replumping of the eye bags - and they can take care of some of those issues.

The first step to getting the right skincare routine is to find out what your skin really needs. And these changes over the years. Is it dry? Do you have irritated patches? Acne breakouts or some hyperpigmentation? Visiting a dermatologist will most often be the best option to find out which skin type you have and how you can best take care of it. Take your time to build a list of must-have items that can help you get your skin looking how you want it to.

4. Make Notes

Each day make a note of three things that went well or that you achieved. Try to choose things that made a difference to you. It might be that you feel like your outfit was great. It could be that you managed to hop in the shower and wash your hair. Make it personal. You can also write down something that you feel didn’t go well, and how you will tackle it in the future. It is all about letting yourself be proud of moments and taking control.

Set multiple small goals that are achievable, and as you work towards completing them, write the action you took down. Talk about the action before and what is going to be next. This will give a visual representation of your progress. And, when we have a sense of purpose and progress that is tangible to us, we often feel happier, and our self-esteem and self-confidence will rise over time.

Conclusion

Of course, confidence comes from within, but if you are feeling great on the outside, too, you are more likely to keep that confidence with you all the time. Find things that you love, that give you that happy glow and go with it.
