Beauty in Isolation: Editor's Must-Have Beauty Picks for S/S 2020

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a weird year so far. Nevertheless, if there’s one thing I can always rely on, it must be my go-to beauty and skincare products. This spring, I’ve been circling back to some old favourites, as well as exploring new natural, vegan, and cruelty-free options to cheer up my skin during these days in isolation. Here are my beauty picks for S/S 2020.

eyGLÓ moisturiser by Sóley Organics: This moisturiser is a-ma-zing! I ran out of it just before winter and tried out some other formulas just for the sake of it. But nothing is really as magical as this organic face cream from Iceland. They’ve recently made the formula a bit thicker as well, which I am loving. It’s perfect for all skin types and especially good for sensitive skin.

SkinYoga Oats and Roses face wash: An easy-to-use skincare must-have from ayurvedic beauty label SkinYoga. This natural face wash comes in powder form and needs a little water for mixing. The result? Glowing soft skin that puts a smile on your face.

Birta Lift & Glow serum by Sóley Organics: I feel like we all need a little pick-me-up these days. This serum from Sóley is sometimes the only thing I need to give my face a happy glow. You can also mix a few drops in with their moisturiser.

Elate Essential mascara: The Elate Essential mascara is a fabulous vegan product with great pigment and a sustainable approach. It doesn’t make your lashes feel heavy or drenched in product. It’s my go-to mascara. When my skin is feeling fabulous, I sometimes just pop this on and feel ready to seize the day.

OWAY agricosmetics® hair products: Taking good care of your hair is so important. I’ve been on a journey to restore my curly/wavy hair and other off-the-shelf products just don’t do it for me. I’ve been using the beCurly series for my hair, but they have a great range for all hair types which is worth checking out.

Ambreesh 24 Karat Lips liquid lipstick: This fabulous liquid lipstick by Ambreesh can really make you feel like a royalty. I’ve been using the shade Hey Doll! recently. Unlike many lipsticks, the 24 Karat Lips product is very moisturising and nourishing, while delivering the great pigment you’d expect. Love!

Nabla cosmetics eyeshadows: Just because we’re staying at home, doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun with make-up. This season I’ve been into pops of colour and shimmer. Nabla has a great selection of colours in their range to try out different looks. Who says working from home can’t be glamorous?
